Now onboarding pilot schools worldwide

Every child accounted for, every single journey.

StudentAid is a complete school-transport system: a portal for your office, an app for your drivers, and an app for parents. Live vans on a map, QR-verified boarding, and a custody record that proves who collected each child — all in one place.

Free for parents · Multilingual, right-to-left ready · Built for school-transport regulation

The problem

The rules are changing. The phone won't stop ringing.

Running a school fleet on registers and phone calls is no longer good enough — for parents, or for an inspector.

call

Dozens of morning calls

Reception spends the first hour of every day answering “where is the van?” — and cannot actually answer it.

assignment

Attendance on paper

A register in a moving vehicle is impossible to verify later. When a child is missed, nobody can prove what happened.

gavel

Compliance in a drawer

Vehicle fitness, driver IDs, route logs — scattered across files, and never ready when an inspector arrives.

no_accounts

Anyone at the gate

At dismissal, staff release children to whoever turns up. There is no verified record of who took whom.

location_off

No idea where the van is

A delay becomes a crisis because nobody — not the school, not the parent — can see where the vehicle actually is.

sos

No emergency path

When something goes wrong on the road, the driver's only option is to start making phone calls.

How a morning runs

From the depot to the classroom, recorded end to end

Driver starts the trip

One tap. The van appears on the school's live map and on the phone of every parent riding it.

Each child is scanned aboard

A signed QR pass identifies the child — no names read off a list, no mistaken pickups.

Parents are told, instantly

Approaching, boarded, dropped. Four notifications that end the morning phone calls.

The office sees it live

The ops board counts who has boarded, who is absent, and which vans are running late — as it happens.

Dismissal is verified

At home time, every release is matched to an authorised collector, a signed pass, or a parent's approval.

The record writes itself

Route logs, manifests and custody trails build automatically. Compliance reports are one click.

Safety by design

The safe thing happens by default

These are not settings an administrator can get wrong. They are properties of how the system is built.

shield_person

An emergency always reaches someone

An SOS fans out to the affected children's guardians and the school's own emergency contacts. That floor is enforced in code — no configuration can leave an alert going nowhere.

fact_check

A child is never released unverified

Every release is one of three things: an authorised collector, a valid time-boxed pass, or a parent approving in the app. There is no fourth path.

lock

One school never sees another

Where one van serves two schools, each school sees only its own children on the manifest. The boundary is enforced at the data layer and fails closed.

badge

Driver identity is protected

National ID numbers are encrypted, shown only as the last four digits, revealed once through an audited action, and deleted 30 days after a driver leaves.

history

The custody trail cannot be rewritten

Release records are append-only. They cannot be edited or quietly deleted — their whole value is being trustworthy months later.

visibility_off

Location is not surveillance

Parents see the van carrying their own child, and nothing else. The parent app never tracks the parent, and asks for no background location.

Compliance

Ready for your regulator

School-transport regulations increasingly expect digital route logging, vehicle tracking and verified driver records. StudentAid keeps those records as a by-product of running the day, so an inspection is a download rather than a week of preparation.

  • checkRoute and trip logs for every journey, with timestamps and GPS trace
  • checkDriver files: national ID, licence, experience, approval and revocation history
  • checkVehicle records with fitness and assignment history
  • checkStudent manifests reconstructable for any past date
  • checkSigned, verifiable compliance reports with a reference number
  • checkA full audit log of who did what in the system
Questions

What schools ask us first

How long does setup take?

Most schools are live within a week. You send a student list and route list as a spreadsheet; we map the columns, review the import, and it becomes your roster. Drivers install the app and are verified from your dashboard.

What if a driver has no smartphone?

The driver app is deliberately light and runs on inexpensive Android devices. It tolerates poor coverage — boarding scans and GPS pings queue on the phone and upload when signal returns, so a dead spot never loses a record.

Do parents have to pay?

No. The parent app is free for families, permanently. Schools and operators pay for the platform.

What happens if a parent has no smartphone?

Nothing breaks. Alerts fall back to SMS or WhatsApp, and the school can see and act on everything from the portal on the parent's behalf.

Can one van serve two schools?

Yes, and each school sees only its own children on that van's manifest. The operator sees the full picture. This is enforced by the system, not by staff discipline.

Is the app available in our language?

Both apps are fully localisable and ship with complete right-to-left layout support, switchable per user. Tell us the languages your families use and we will add them.

Who can see my child's location?

Only that child's own guardians, and school staff whose role requires it. Parents never see other families' children or other routes.

What if we already use a GPS tracker?

Most trackers tell you where a vehicle is. They cannot tell you which child is on it, who collected them, or produce a compliance record. StudentAid is about the children, not just the vehicle.
